Say Good-bye to a Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Dentist

For all of those who read my book inspired by my father's remarkable life, I am sorry to share he passed away last fall after complications from a fall and fractured pelvis. I went to Florida and was by his side in Hospice. I still miss him every day, and it took me some time to share this obituary I wrote for my former hometown's newspaper. I will be forever indebted to my readers and am so honored I was able to share my dad's story with you all. Friends, family and acquaintances tell me my dad was lucky to live to ninety-two, a full life. They are well intentioned, and they are right. As I write these words, I am fifty-two and was lucky to have my father in my life for so long.

When I posted the obit on my hometown Facebook page, over 100 former patients came forward with testimonials of how much they loved him as their family dentist. And this more than 25 years after he retired! On September 1, 2017, the rank of angels increased by one...

So here is the link for the obit as it appeared in THE NORTHBOROUGH PATCH.

And one of my favorite photos of Dad and me visiting Puerto Rico with Tío José Luis! Dad (far left) is 82, and his brother (center) a ripe old 92! I have good genes!

Thank you for reading!
